Frozen smoothie for my pony!
It was so hot last night my daughter and i headed up to the farm shop, bought some of their chocolate ice cream, some apples, pears, bananas and grapes, along with a lovely bottle of real apple juice.
We ate the ice cream first (!) then chopped up the fruit, put it in the empty tub, added a handful of oats, covered the fruit with apple juice and then topped right up with water and stuck it in the freezer.
And today, Voila! Frozen fruit lolly for the pony who at first was terrified of the scary thing in his bucket, then he started to lick, then chew and then slurp the whole thing - he was a very happy boy in deed! So tomorrow I'm off to the farm shop again.....vanilla though i think this time, and I'll see if the others like them too. Just a bit of balmy fun!
