Had a couple of days off work, so whilst at the yard yesterday, arranged to go for a hack with one of the other liveries this morning. Got up this morning to take OH to work, and it was p'ing down, again! Just my luck.

Any way, met Jo at the arranged time, and thankfully it had stopped raining. Farm tracks are all absolutely sodden, so that only really left road work. Sod it she said, how well does Dolly load. Brilliantly I said. So we loaded up, went 15 minutes up the road, and had a brilliant hack in the forest. The forest has miles of sandy tracks and we had a fab time. Used to livery over that side of the forest, and Dolly certainly remembered all our old canter paths. Think I will ache tomorrow :-)

The hacking where we are is good, and I can get over to the old side of the forest, but it means going around the horrendously muddy farm to get there which takes a good half hour or so, and then another hour through our side of the forest. Something we usually save for summer riding and we are out anywhere from 4-6 hours.

Thankyou. Just feels some days like all I do is turn out and muck out, bring in, clean and feed. Dolly really enjoyed herself, was marching out from the minute I got on.
