Grass!! ( and some weeds)
After raining on and off and an increase in temps, our field has transformed from a dead dust bowl to green colour with new shoots looking forward to not having to feed hay already!

Same here. I walked over our fields before the rain and was in despair, the ground literally was a dustbowl, I suddenly had an inkling of how farmers must feel in hot drought-hit countries. But yesterday there was a faint green haze on the field, hurrah for rain, never thought I'd say that after last year's constant deluge.. And to top it all I saw two swallows flying over the yard yesterday afternoon!

Rain... And the most miserable looking herd of horses this side of London...

Although, yes I did see some grass, and it appears to be growing by the day!

I've changed my mind. Faint green haze now trampled into thick brown goo. No sign of the swallows, I bet they've turned right round and are heading straight back to Africa,
