Well after one of the longest months i have known my partner of ten years is finally moving out.We r still going to see each other but i really need my own space.I have my 3 dogs and Mr.parrot so i wont be lonely.I have my horse, friends and job aswell.

Tell me is anyone on here living on their own and is happy.

I am so looking forward to it.:)

I live alone... Although I hole to one day find the currently ellusive man.
I am happy though, and have too many cats (4), a wonderful Labrador, and family close by.
My only negative is when I'm full on at work it would be nice to have someone share the load a little, like when the car breaks down, the washing machine breaks or the stairs are desperately in need of the Hoover - I will do them today :)

I have the best of both worlds; been married 30 years and my husband works abroard a lot of the time ( is in USA atm) and is often away for 10 day at a time then home for a few days, then off again! :)

I must admit I do enjoy being on my own especially as like you I have the two ponies as well as dogs/rabbits etc.

TV remote to yourself, house clean and tidy, eat when you want when you want, no wet towels on the bed etc etc :D Enjoy!

Hmmmm been married 20 years and sometimes wish he would go away to work lol Still got my 3 kids (teens, youngest being 13) so would'nt be alone exactly.I was thinking how it was when I was living alone in the 80s lol
I bet you lot have fun doing as you like, with no one to telling you what you can or cant do etc lol

I'm a bit like angieandben in that the OH works away through the week (Navy) so Sunday nights i get to crash on the settee , dogs and cats on the other one and enjoy Downton Abbey at my leisure :) - no more SKY football til next weekend , and i can eat / do horses til it's dark if i want ( which wont be hard this week , let's face it :D ) and i save up all those lovely 'man ' jobs till he comes home.
You'll be fine on your own - women seem so much more able to do for themselves , just make sure you're in touch with your neighbours /friends so they can look out for you if needs be..
And besides you've got all of us here on the forum for chats etc:D

Lived on my own (with cat!) until I recently rented out my spare room. New roommate is out at boyfriend's a lot which suits me down to the ground. I love living on my own, so easy and relaxing :) and never been lonely in five years. Hope it goes well for you, good luck x

We do it the other way round :D

I often work away from home, so during the week the Ds are on their own at home and I'm on my own in a hotel :D. It has its upsides and downsides, but overal, if you can focus on the good bits and just deal with the not so good bits, it's fine :D

im used to been on my own most of the time and am very independant.i pay the bills, run the house, look after the dogs and really have always done everything myself lol.im looking forward to having never to clean up after him again lol without going into any details-he a mucky pig and im so houseproud:D
i think because its a flat we clash and tbh i prefer been on my own overall.
hoping our romance will be rekindled a bit tbh as domestics etc wont get in the way.
