He cannot be kept in in bad weather or come in early and why he needs ridden daily!

His very well kept deep litter shavings bed was trashed. I came in to find his dinner and breakfast buckets trampled INTO it, his water bucket upturned in the middle and my rather pleased with himself horse standing rather squished up and neatly ON his now soaking and pooey and shavings covered stable rug that was all scrunched into a heap. I think steam actually came out of my ears!

This is why I HATE bad weather

. My hardy cob has a HW Full Neck rug, and big furry legs - he can quite easily cope with this weather, but unfortunately there are not so hardy types in the filed so he has to come in. Plus the lack of grass in the field means he is wired when he comes in cos he is annoyed - bah!! I threatened him with a cork in his bottom if he did it again. The sheer amount of poop since Monday amazed me (he was mucked out Tues & Wed), as he didnt do the 5 odd poos he does when ridden so they were added into the mess.

GRRRR horses!

It was pretty vile have to say, poor horsey. Reading this makes me seem a bad mummy when mine is out in a LW(she's fat

) hope it eases off the next few days so he can get out (though, looks like the snow is lying from what I can see)

PMSL I kept Super in today as well as the weather was awful. I mucked her out while she was happily eating her breakfast. I tidied up the fork, brush and put away the wheelbarrow. When I went back to check her she had done a nice new poo in the corner - had to go back, get the wheelbarrow, fork brush......

Turned up at our yard at stupid o'clock tonight to muck our etc and my mare as per usual had trashed her stable, she doesn't poo or wee much she just decides to turn her front two rubber matts up and over and thinks it's great fun to stand on them! She turns her feed buckets inside out, tips food everywhere on purpose, she hasn't realised (and i'm hoping one day she will) YET THAT IF SHE DIDN'T TIP HER FEED OUT OF HER BUCKET SHE WOULD GET ENOUGH FOOD TO satisfy her hungry tum! Oh sorry about the caps can't be arsed to change it!

your a bad mummy?... mine is out with her fat and fluff keeping her warm but she doesn't seem to mind so she can stay like that

If it is ANY consolation my two both live out 24/7 with access to bedded up stables. They come in for an hour or two a day yet in that time I came back frm hacking out one to find my youngster had dragged two clean dry rugs off the back wall to the front and trampled all over them before picking up her bucket and pouring it on top. Oh and she'd thrown a couple of brushes on the floor as well in protest at being left on her own.
