Had a lovely hack today with my Spotty boy. Went and met up with a friend and went somewhere we have never been before. Had some good fast canters and had a great time! We were gone for four hours! :eek: I think I will feel it tomorrow! :rolleyes: But my boy is super fit and was still jogging and spooking on the way home! :p Just thought I would share, as it's nice to be finally able to get out for a good canter after the snow!

What did everybody else get up to today? :)
 
What a nice post. We did the same today. We have managed to hack out for the last 3 days now and boy we are making the most of it :D
We found a lovely new route too with 2 lovely long grassy stretches so we had a good blast....I was behind and got a bit mud splattered though :)
 
I rode today! Have had my lad 6 months - he came with LGL and anaemia and it was so good to get on. he was very excited when we met some other ponies! Sooooo glad he's better!
 
I clipped and now have a very naked brown horse. Was meant to be a blanket but i effed it up so it all ended up coming off.

Then he was bored and wouldn't let me finish his pits and flanks and ears so will have to get the trimmers out again tomorrow. On the plus side he looks extremely well under his fluff.I thought perhaps he just looked fat because he was hairy but he actually really is. And he is no longer ginger and he was a good boy and didn't kick me like last time :D
 
Sounds lovely! :) I hacked out Wednesday-Friday after 6weeks off and did a bit of sitting trot- big mistake- my muscles were killing for days! I decided to brave schooling him today- asked for a short canter and got a few leaps and plunges instead, he soon settled down though! I was just so pleased to be back on board so I didn't care :p
 
Well since the ice finally left, mine managed to cut himself on his leg (only minor) but its still swollen, so still haven't managed to ride :mad:

(vet has been out etc, just taking a while to go down) :)
