Todays Badminton Tip

After all this rain I advise anyone to go in a 4 wheel drive you wouldnt believe how muddy the track through the car park can get although there are always willing hands to help push cars out of their dire straits. Dont forget newspaper and plastic bags for muddy footwear.

Get out your walking boots and give them a double dose of waterproofing they are about the best footwear to trudge around in.

How about Thursday visitors posting their best buys tomorrow evening ??

I am sooo not looking forward to the mud I seriously hope its 'ok' on friday! Think might have to take my car as think OH will have a fit if his got all muddy LOL

You have to remember the special game when its Muddy.....Spot the most inappropriate outfit and better still the most inappropriate footwear.

The first time I went to Badminton in 2004 it was an absolute sea of mud, and I remember seeing a Porsche sunk up to its axles in mud trying to get out... very funny!!

I hope we don't get stuck, having to go down in Mum's A4 cabriolet on Thursday and Friday, until Dad arrives with the Range Rover on Friday night

I also first went in 2004 when it was horrifically muddy. I think that was the year I spotted someone wearing an entirely white outfit, no wellies - oh to have seen her at the end of the day!

That was also the year we took our Land Rover Disco (we always go in the Disco) and got stuck

and had to be towed out by a tractor

and got stared at a LOT by all these blokes (thinking "useless women" no doubt!)

I am so looking forward to it this year - as of Friday we will no longer own a 4x4 and instead our Badminton vehicle of choice will be our new and thoroughly inappropriate MX5
