Todays mission...

Is to trot one complete circle of the school!!! Sounds easy? Well I have posted about my confidence issues and with advice from here its slowly getting better, I can hack out fairly comfortably and only have about 100 'what if' thoughts now as opposed to the 1000's i had before (although the horse falling over and rolling her fat clydesdale body on top of me leaving me crushed in the middle of the road seems hard to shift out my head!!
Anyway my new problem is that I love this horse so much if she stops I just lean forward and say 'whats the matter darling'? Everyone at the yard thinks its hysterical, but nancy now wont willfully walk forward in the school with me without stopping - I know its my fault and today I am going for one lap of trot! Think I can do it? Place your bets here..........!

Oh good luck TH.
I too am having some very serious confidence issues at the mo, but mine are out hacking!
I will ride in any field, school, or take him to a dressage comp and be fine, but hacking is nooooo waaayyy. I completely go to pieces! And the what iffs are still in the 1000's for me.

well I did it! My neice rode our newly broken mare and I rode nancy and did a full lap in trot, and a nice 20 (ish) metre circle, just going to do it a few more times before I start having lessons.........eek!

Well done you. Just when Nancy thought her training of you was going so well you've gone and scuppered her plans!
