Just to say thanks to those who gave me tips on staying calm at the sponsored ride I went on today!
I had a fantastic time!
and didn't need the hip flask too many times
Jerry was really quite calm, he was a bit strong when cantering but not out of control. Luckily we went as late as we could so there were not many people out on the course. We caught up with one group and we had one group catch up with us but that was all so Jerry didn't get too wound up!
Unfortunately my friend's horse stumbled near the end of the ride - she wasn't hurt badly but she wasn't completely sound in trot so we had to walk the last couple of miles home. Apart from that - a fab day
I won't post any pics because the only ones I took were of the household cavalry (they were very pleasing to the eye) but I'm not sure I should post pictures of soldiers on a public forum!
