So the dreaded day has dawned and my boy Ollie is off to his new home this evening.
Super difficult decision but due to being a rather expensive field hamster and far too small for me, word of mouth has found him a full-loan home under the supervision of a well-known instructor.
I've been weaning myself off him over winter, as he was given a well earned rest due to time wasters dropping him lie a hot taty on day of cash / horse exchange!
He was (obviously) originally for sale, as just not the right horse for me and also didnt grow accordingly, nor did I have any sucess with this dodgy thyroid of mine. but saying as I got to keep him, I re-attched myself particulalry over bringing him back into work over last month and now I just can't bear the thought of not seeing his cute little face looking at me n hearing his little nicker ever time he see's his mam, n running over for cuddles and carrots.
i know he will be loved and spoilt into an inch of his life but its going to be so hard him being an hour away rather than in the field at the farm :'(
I'm not sure if the fact I still own him is making it harder - at least if he's sold , he's gone... but loaning I've got spot checks and constant reminders of his wonderfulllness every time I visit.
Blahhhhhh... :'(
need hugs and nice stories.
Am I doing the right thing??
