Toggi Canyon Boots

Anyone else got any? If so, how waterproof do you find them?

I wore mine on Sat to run an SJ show. I was wearing them for 3 hours, on firm ground but with a wet, grassy covering. My feet were absolutely sopping wet when I was finished

I have emailed Toggi about this and they have asked me to return them, but seemingly at my own expense which is rather annoying. I wondered if anyone else had had wet feet with them. I understand that 3 hours in wet grass will push anything, but to me waterproof means that they will NOT allow wetness in at all.

I have a pair and mine are fully waterproof as proved yesterday.
Might be a one off bad pair

i dont have the canyons but i do have the calgary.

I can wear these all day long in the rain in and out of puddles on wet slippy ground and they havent leaked once.

Maybe you have just been unlucky and had a defective pair?

Had mine over a year and extremely well worn and still 100% waterproof

As I mentioned yesterday I was recommended them by a friend who manages a tack shop. She recommended them on the basis that they were waterproof, she sells a huge amount of them and hadn't had any returns.

I am actually surprised Toggi are dealing with you direct... could you not return them to the company you bought them off? then they would have to pay the postage. Thing is if you wanted a refund Toggi would only give you trade price as that is what they were paid for the boot and you'd have paid a fair bit more?

They said they would offer an exchange but no refund. This is OK with me.

Am glad for the replies - don't know why my socks were so wet, the boots now smell horrible too! What's betting they cannot find anything wrong with them tho!

Toggi are a good company and will treat you right. Must off been a duff pair as they sell so many off these boots it's mad. The company I work for had a 25% off offer on these boots which made them £65 and sold over 50 pairs within a month

No I didn't treat them with anything - when I spend over £100 on a pair of boots I believe they should be treated before they leave the warehouse!

I never treated mine...

I have just bought some Dubbin though to put on them. But they are a year old now and well worn, not that I've had a problem with them.
