I have recently picked up my EBT pup and she is gorgeous, she's fitted in great with my 2 rottie boys and they seem to love her. However I haven't had a pup for a few years so would appreciate some tips on toilet training.

At the moment she just seems to be going anywhere and everywhere but she is only 8 & a half weeks old so I sort of expect this. I bought her puppy pads which she is totally ignoring but having spoken to her breeder she used paper so I will get some newspaper tomorrow.

I put her outside very frequently but she only seems to go outside when she sees one of the boys going, if they don't wee she doesn't and then she comes in and does it indoors straightaway. Even if I keep her out for a considerable time she won't wee if they don't! I didn't have before so I'm not sure how to deal with it - any suggestions please?!

cute:D

I would do as you are, keep putting her out and try scattering some puppy biscuits every time you do to encourage her to go and explore as for now she does not know what it means to go out (also put some news papers outside) to start her off, see if she will go over to them and do a wee on them 9then remove them once she gets the hang of it)
Never let her out of your sight when at home, if you pop to toilet or go upstairs put her in her crate. If you do see it you can't guide her (pick her up and put her out) even in mid flow:p
Place the news papers near the door of any room she is in (with you) and when she makes her way to it (DON'T) let her get to it and pass a motion on it, scoop her up and place her out, a few weeks down the line u can just follow her and open each door as you go till she is out (scatter your food) and say "wee wee's"
When she gets the hang of heading for the door to the paper just remove the paper.

Ps, I would also take that shaggy rug up, rugs make fab pish piles:D and if you find she is passing i the crate alot (downsize) I usually fill the whole of a puppy crate with a plastic bed (use vet bed) and wash it daily until pup is clean, having to a big a crate will take alot longer to stop the passing in the crate;):)

Thank you CAYLA I never thought of putting the paper outside, however I've been up & got newspaper this evening & put it down. She had a lovely time screwing it up & burrowing in it then she went a few paces away and did a wee

The crate was bought for a full grown rottie so she is a bit lost in it!!

Bullies are very intelligent, so what Cayla say's about putting the paper outside will work, as she's learnt that paper is where she goes at the moment. Bullies are very food orientated, so again I agree with Cayla about the biscuits. She's lovelly, and good luck.
