Has anybody ever been to a Tom Widdicombe Clinic? If so what did you think? He's doing one near us shortly and was wondering if he's any good.

I believe he lives in Devon so he might be more familiar to the South West folk on here.

I haven't been to a clinic, but I know people who have and felt it was worthwhile and interesting. I have been to a talk by Tom, and he's a very personable and interesting person to spend an evening with, and he's always lovely when he comes in the shop too!

He's ace, i've done a couple of clinics with him and he talks lots of sense with no 'BS', the emphasis is on having a 'soft' horse & rider combo & keeping everything simple, but to be honest its worth it just to spend a couple of days with him & Sarah, they're highly entertaining company!

Another vote for Tom and Sarah, they are very knowledgeable, sympathetic teachers. I'm going to a clinic with them in July in East Sussex. Tom works with the horses and people on a 1-1 basis, so you can go along whatever you want to do, even if it's only groundwork or take a youngster.
He started out as a "Monty" person, but is rather different to that now, and I'd say his main influence is Mark Rashid. I thought he was less confrontational than someone like Monty or Kelly Marks.
