I have a 3½ year old filly who has recently been professionally broken to drive (and very light backed for ridden now been turned away from the ridden) she is being driven twice a week for a few weeks to keep it fresh (as advised by person who broke her) then she'll be turned away to mature up until next summer.
Anyhooo the problem I am having is when she is out driving she is managing to get her tongue over the bit, I am using a liverpool driving bit (which is what she was broken in) on the gentlest top hole with loose curb, she is lovely and soft in the mouth and I have no issues with stopping or turning her but today i had to get off her and put her tongue back under twice, as once she's got it over she drops her head and keeps fidgeting trying to get it back herself.
Bridle fits perfect, she has 2 creases in corner of mouth by bit so don't think I can raise it any further,
Suggestions would be great please
