tongue sticking out

one of my customers horse sticks its tongue out when ridden sometimes, anyone know of the reason why? he is ridden in a flash noseband and comfort snaffle, teeth checked and okay.

My horse has always done it, especially when she is hot. Often my OH comes out running with us, or on his bike, and he has to stay on her right hand side or else he gets covered in spit!

My old horse did it and also used to bite his tongue a lot ( not a pretty sight) i was never sure why either?

One of the horses I ride does the same, doesn't seem to bother him at all. Juts look sweird
