He was great! He absolutely loved it and didn't make any fuss about being lifted in! He swam for 5 minutes on the spot, and then when they were drying him off he broke free and legged it back over to the pool and threw himself in :o
Luckily they found it funny!

Hes shattered now and sleeping like a baby :D we're going again on saturday so i'll try and get some photos of him in his little life jacket :)

Sounds fab :D piccies please!!!

B didn't have a life jacket but he went the other way around, the man had to throw him in :p and every time I swam him past the 'exit' he was making a break for it - his wee sis was a natural, a real waterbaby :)
Here's my two loonies at the pool :p

(Glad he enjoyed it and it knackered him :D :D :D mine slept like logs too!)

Oh bless them! Your pool looks much bigger! I've never known a dog to love water as much as Tyson!
I have to say swimming on the spot looked quite hard, his little legs were going mental! I'll get pics on Saturday, he looks propper funny in his life jacket!

Here you go, pics from today!

He doesn't really care about chasing balls or toys, and wont go in the river with his long line on :(

It is pretty expensive but it does seem to be tiring him out :p

Got a pretty funny video too of him swimming round in circles chatting to himself, just trying to figure out how to upload it off my phone!

Class!!!

I would see if you can locate a horse pool if it is too expensive? The bloke we use is a race-horse trainer and he charges £5 a visit for as long as you like, as long as he is not too busy with the horses. There are about five or six of us who use it.

What a good idea! Will definately look around... Id love to chuck bryony in too but i dont think she'd ever forgive me!

You could always get a wet suit and get him one of those jackets and get ya sell in there with him;):D

What you on about, that slender beautiful figure you see in the pool beside him IS me... Obviously :rolleyes::p

Great pool pics from everyone!

Willie loved his one time in a pool which was more of a leisure experience for him ... we were away for the weekend at a place that catered for people traveling with dogs (he had to prove he was a strong swimmer to be allowed in without a vest :D):

Yes, the pool was bone-shaped and had all the essentials - here he is trying to decide what toy to play with:

Now in the water and still not really sure which one to play with :

He's asked for a pool of his own when we win the lottery ... in the meantime, I should try and find one for him for his rehab as it'll be a couple of months before he can get out into the river/ocean.

My mate bought a set of fishing waders so she could go in the sea with her boy, I am building up the courage to do likewise :p

I wade out with Dakota (in water shoes though) to try and get him in - bribery with snacks and being on the lead worked a little last year but he made a beeline straight out again once he'd snatched it :D.
