Just read some research which reckon a rider should be 10% of the horses weight, 15% at the outside.

I'd have thought most would be inside 15%, easily, or am I mistaken.

Don't know what else they've taken into account.
 
Have a quick check of the myriad of other threads that have arisen in the last five days since the reports appear in the mainstream press. That'll give you some idea of the panic caused, the flaws in the reported study etc.

If you have a look maybe a day or so back there's a BUNCH of weight related threads. The general consensus seems to be under 20% = good. 15% = better. 10% = mostly un-realistic.
 
Where've you been PR???!!!

It all got very exciting the last few days... would love to stay and chat about it but... I'm all puffed out discussing weight now...
