too many to pick from

So need a saddle for new horsey and last time i got a new horse there was only treed saddles to pick from. Now theres no trees, trees and everything in between. I'm confused as to what to get. Am i right in thinking if i get a qualified sms saddle fitter they will only fit treed saddles? What if i could have got a better fit with an alternative saddle. How do you know where to start ? I'm guessing a treed saddle is going to be my cheapest option?

Well i've got no pics and also i wouldnt know how to get them on hereJust want a saddle that horsey likes and no stupid prices.

Well I expect you would be best to find a saddler with a large choice of second hand as well as new, that you can try.

Forgot to add he's only 4 and needs to fill out so good chance whatever i get now wont fit in 6 months unless its adjustable.
