As post says really, I want to be doing something with my boy, but its really too windy to ride and after getting trampled on the other day, I still recovering from my visit to A&E. He is a little anxious about coming away from his pair bond, so I really want to do just a little bit of work with him alone, nothing too stressful - just so he knows its ok to be on his own. Any groundwork ideas please? I don't have a round pen or anything, just a field and a secure yard, Thanks!

If he's anxious about leaving his buddy, how about working on that a little bit? Leading him away, even out of the field, feeding him elsewhere...

To be honest, I'm inclined to believe that if it's too windy to ride, it's too windy to do groundwork! I got head butted yesterday due to the scary wind - it's just not worth it IMO!

I agree. Having got walked all over the other day by something old enough to know bloomin better!

I agree with the others. Don't put yourself at risk.
I would use the foul weather as an excuse to cosy your boy down in a nice warm stable, Indulge in self satisfaction at how content he looks, go home, have a glass of wine and watch Eastenders. aaaaahhh
