I bought my new hunting mare a fortnight ago, she has been brill so far. Decided to enter a 2 phase to check brakes, steering etc. We had a few poles down in the sj ( rider error & fences too small in my opinion) headed out across country and she was simply awesome. Galloped when asked, came back when asked, and brilliant over the fences. Nothing phased her, spooky cottage, mud, water etc she just galloped and jumped - also came home bouncing and ready to go again. I cannot wait to get out hunting on her next season. I have to say her attitude and manners cross country were better than anything I have evented before, she puts my boys to shame. No sore hands, arms pulled out or out of breath moments.
Anyone that says hunting ruins them needs to take my girl a spin round. Proud mummy post really.
