Took the Jerry monster to the seaside today

Went for a little outing to the seaside today, with plans to give J his first proper gallop. Went with his mate Blue, another youngster who had been a few times before. The waves were very scary, and we did some amazing halfpasses! After a while he settled and we had a trot, then a canter, then we let them gallop, J was an angel, not at all strong and b****y fast

We pulled up when he spotted some people in the distance, and he was excellent and didn't fight me at all. We then went on the heath and had a lovely ride, and then came back on the beach again, had another canter but it was a bit scarier as the tide was coming in, so we had a lot of snorting. He then walked along ALMOST in the sea, stepping sideways every time a wave came in, which for a horse that is scared of water wasn't bad

Had a fab time, and he was so well behaved, sorry no pics, but we didn't manage to drag along the photographer.

It isnt bad here, only about an hour away, but the hacking locally is awful so its great to be able to really let him open up

We used to ride at the beach when we were kids, well, I ended up in the sea more often than not!
