what tools do you use/is best for bedmax?and going to change over and already have rubber matting.
thank you.

a hand skip, Wolfgarten hand rake, a snow shovel, and a broom. Perfect. I have one of mine on 1/2 bedmax and half Ecobed cardboard (she's the only horse i've ever known to eat the cardboard if it's fresh, so I have to mix in Bedmax) and those work perfectly imho. the snow shovel in particular is fantastic on the rubber matting.

Like kerilli we mix ours with ecobed cardboard. We use narrow future forks which stop the staff throwing away too much clean bedding.

I use Bedmax and rubber matting, I use a skip and rake to get the main poop out then gloves to pick up any other bits, a snow shovel to bank it up and get out the wet and then sweep!

Snow shovels are an absolule revelation! The guy delivering our oil last year got stuck in the snow and used our stable shovel and broke it so left his plastic snow shovel and we think it's fab, one horse on littlemax and the other on easibed and mucking out is so much easier!!

Started using bedmax a few weeks ago but got to say Im dissapointed :( It doesnt seem very absorbant at all so Ive mixed it in with normal shavings. It gives a lovely fluffy bed and is so much better than the shavings we have, dust wise. Am I doing something wrong?
