Anyone know? and how does the sizing work - My friend varies between a 6 and 7/8 and a 6 and 3/4 in a riding hat - if i order what size would you go for? and if you had to choose one or the other which would you have - this is for my sister in laws birthday prezzie - she has just got her side saddle outfit !

Only know this for top hats (dressage). Go down a 1/4 inch because it needs to fit snugly. And you really can't go wrong with Christy's unless you want to fork out on a Patey. Not sure about bowlers, sorry.

I got my top hat from a vintage clothing fair, it was WAY cheaper than buying it from Ebay or a tack shop (£55!) and it's a proper antique silk one for side saddle riding with it's original box too. It was a good big size for my big 'ole head too! If there are any antique fairs or sales or any vintage clothing fairs going on, then maybe treat your sis in law to an outing at one to get one? :)
