Top prospect for the future: over there >>>

I think it looks fine. It's obviously just moved back and looking for a great and has been t.aught to stand a certain way.

It's very well muscled and looking lean as that is his breeding and obviously fit.

I think more horses should aim to look this fit. We are so conditioned to looking at "show condition" horses we forget what fit looks like.

I saw the pic on the right before seeing this thread and thought "yep, bet they're jumping the crap out of it". Three, THREE! "Clean x-rays" - for how long I wonder? Sorry looking thing.

It's not got lami IMO .
It's a lightly furnished young warmblood who does not have perfect conformation .
It can certainly jump , I am not a huge fan of loose jumping and what you don't know as a buyer is that clip the result of say three sessions or they been chasing the horse round the school regularity for a couple of months .
I dislike young horses being fizzed up with whips in the school to show their paces it just makes teaching them to have a good attiude to the school and lunge whip more difficult than it needs to be .

I very much doubt it has lami. it looks more as if they are rustling a plastic bag or something on the ground so it arches its neck and its about to move away from it

Certainly it is weighting right back on the heels both fore and aft. If it was due to a momentary movement, this "moment in time" is not doing the animal any favours.

The weight, I have no issues with - I wish I could see a bit of rib on my two. I really don't like how they free jump young horses so high. You can see natural good tenchique at a lower height, which won't put so much strain on the joints.

I think its just leaning backwards because its looking at something in front of it on the ground that we cant see and is a bit wary. Its ears are pricked looking down at it. At least its not got a rug on, or taken across the field in the dark...

I actually went to see this horse a few weeks ago when it had just come over. The picture doesn't really do it justice, it's not a perfect stamp of a horse but considering age and lack of condition its fine. He also wasn't very handled so I suspect getting any standing pics was a challenge. I'm in no way associated with the seller, but I see a lot of these threads I thought people might be interested to hear from someone that has actually seen the discussed horse.

What, even when they're 3 years old? I wouldn't touch a horse that was 'well muscled' at that age! Also I don't think it looks particularly fit, just weedy and immature.

Gosh, you lot must be incredible experts to be able to garner so much detailed information from a couple of photos:-) It's a gangly young warmblood, unfurnished and immature. It's what a 3 year old should look like, not like the fat, flabby, overtopped and over handled creatures that are more common in this part of the world. And the jump is immature too, but demonstrates the innate athleticism, which is what it is supposed to show. I can't see anything to criticise and wish there were more ads like this one, rather than the usual amateurish efforts.

If you don't like it, don't buy it.

Glad someone said it.

Total agreement.

You can't really judge any horse properly by a couple of snaps. You can only judge that picture at that moment in time.

I have hundreds of pics of my horse and I have to say I can make him look a total yak (apologies to yaks) with awful conformation or I can actually enhance good bits and hide the weaknesses and make him look a totally different animal altogether ... And everything in between. I think that makes sense.

Why wouldn't a horse of 3 have muscle??? Do you think they should all look flabby and fat until whatever age?

Doesn't look as if you know what you're looking at tbh.
