Does anyone know what I can feed for extra energy with top spec antilam?

My horse is able to stay on restricted grazing (which I didn’t know we were able to have until yesterday) which is great for his weight but we are really struggling with energy the past week or so and I have just opened my new bag of antilam (which I was feeding as we have good grazing on our yard, but now I am able to turn my horse out on restricted grazing).

Overall condition of the horse is great but we are seriously lacking in motivation and he was doing well on top spec comprehensive balancer. I understand you have to be careful what you feed alongside antilam, I am getting in touch with top spec today but any suggests would be great! Thanks.

I am not one for instant fixes, does he get regular exercise, I find most horses are either lazy or sparky, more related to temperament [within limits].
I base my diets on fibre, making sure they get molasses free and low sugar feeds to give them mins and vits.
Continue with your own anti lam balancer at recommended rate, but remember if your horse is prone to laminitis [make sure farrier looks at feet very regularly], it is possible that he was feeling his feet due to early signs, and you interpreted this as lacking in energy.
You may now need to feed soaked hay to make sure he is getting enough to eat, research advises against the starvation method previously recommended.
Here is the advice on the website:
TopSpec AntiLam should be fed on its own with forage. The forage can be in the form of late-cut hay and/or unmollassed chops e.g. TopChop Lite, or controlled grazing, or a combination of these, depending on the individual circumstances.

Thank you, yes he is exercised 6 days a week, good 45 min schooling / jumping and hacking plenty of trotting and galloping, he is a fit and well horse. His weight is monitored all year round with soaked hay when required. No signs of lami, he saw the farrier last week, I shall see what top spec suggest. Thanks
