Hello, wonderful people of HHO!

I am starting to feed Top Spec Balancer tonight (i know to add new feeds gradually over 7 to 10 days...)

I need to know how to measure out 500g of this stuff. Is it two of the bailey's mugs (which I have already)? Is it half or quarter of a stubbs scoop? or is there a specific scoop/ mug you can get hold of? I don't really want to take my kitchen scales to the yard to start measuring this all out, if I can help it!

What do you use?

They will provide you with a measure if you ask, but just use the Bailey's one.

My horse is mature and not working particularly hard, so I only feed him 250 gm of the Comprehensive Balancer, as I did a previous horse and as advised by the company (and on the bag). He looks very well, with a shiny coat and plenty of energy.
When he is working hard, showing, going on long hacks, etc. I increase it to the recommended amount.

You should be able to get a free topspec measuring cup from your feed supplier. :)

I use them for my linseed and speedibeet too ;)

I got a free cup with my first bag of top spec - I have found that the markings on the cup for top spec are also right for the spillars balancer (my sister uses te spillars) so would imagine it would be close enough

I took a sample home, weighed it in the kitchen scales and then tried out all the mugs in the kitchen until I found the right one.

There's a reason I live alone lol! Can get away with that sort of behaviour ;)
