Just wondering what you feed it with, or do you feed it on it's own with being a balancer. Not fed it before so just wondering and a bit late now to contact them to ask!!! Will be feeding a 2 year old sports horse filly. Out at grass during day and hay at night. Currently fed alfalfa and calm and condition (which she doesn't like).

I give it with Hi-Fi Lite to my fatties on reduced grazing and haylage. It adds all the missing bits they aren't getting due to limited intake. You can feed it on its own but it would take two seconds to eat!

That was what I wondered. She likes the alfalfa part of the feed, just not the mix. But I would imagine you feed it only small amounts and gone in 2 mouthfuls. Can it be fed in winter with speedi or sugar beet.

You can add it to your normal feed.

If she doesn't like calm and condition have you tried Spillers conditioning cubes, they are not as good as A&P but seem to be palatable.

We feed both Top Spec normal pelleted balancer and the Anti Lam one as well for our good doers. Fantastic stuff, feet are brilliant, shiney coats, the lot. And as others have said, just put it in with your normal chaff etc. If you phone Top Spec and speak to Nicola Tyler there she will be able to give you any advice you need and will also help you with a feeding plan for your youngster if you want one.

I feed with hi-fi lite in the summer and will feed with hi-fi original & quickbeet in winter as my boy lives out 24/7. This is the first season i have used it, i used top spec no.2 (leisure supp) for years which was great but he was starting to lack energy but i can't feed him the correct amounts of 'normal' hard feed as it's too much (he's a sce D). Have been using balancer for about 3 months now and he has never looked better, and has just the right amount of energy and i have also found i haven't had to restrict his grazing this year. Plus he loves it as he thinks he is getting hard feed!!
