approximately how much is it a bag, and how much do you need to feed? (For a 15.3 LW type)

Donkey has a horse ball thing to play with in winter, so I was going to put some top spec, speedibeet and alfa oil in a bucket, then a couple o fscoops of nuts in the play ball thing.

Sound a good idea?

Around £30-32 per sack.

Amount depends on the horse, 15.2h that I ride has 2 cups per day when he is in work, and one cup per day when he has a break. That is in one feed per day. OH's 17h TB has one cup twice a day with AlfaBeet and AlfaAOil.

My ponies have 200g and 50g per day each.

Oof! I think I would have paid upto £22(ish) but at £30 per sack, plus I'd be going through a tiny amount a day so worried about it going off (as has just happened with my brand new bag of chaff!)

Think I might stick to half a scoop of baileys conditioning cubes, and a scoop of economy cubes in his ball.

Problem is, having never been fed before in his life, the feed is tending to go onto his belly, but I suppose the awterlogged grass isn't much help. He'll only be getting riddden for a maximum of an hour 2-3 times a week, but he *is* just a baby, and we are trying to make him grow up big and strong!

Spillers woman said to stick with plain cubes, but in the winter I like to give a bit of chaff and warm speedibeet, and thought I might aswell put a bit of conditioning something in there, as he was a right little runt when he arrived.

Doesn't go off in my experiance if you keep it in a bin. A friend feeds Antilam at 100g and 50g per day and I'm sure hers has never gone off either.

Its worth keeping in mind though, I was getting through a £10 sack of conditioning mix in around 8 days, my TopSpec lasts closer to 6 weeks, so its worked out cheaper for me, with no extra fizz or stupidity!

I feed Top Spec anti lam and its about £31 per bag, 20kg sack lasts my boy 7 weeks fed at the rate of 100gms per 100kg bodyweight as recommended (so he gets 400gms per day - approximately two coffee mug full).

I think its worth it as he only gets the Top Spec, soaked hay and a tiny bit of Kwik Beet to hide his magnesium oxide. He cant eat the recommended amount of mix to get all his vits and mins as he gets too fat, and he wont eat chaff and a powdered supplement - just throws it around. With the Top Spec I know he is eating every bit up

There's two options for TopSpec balancer - Leisuretime and Comprehensive. The Leisuretime, which is cheaper is for pleasure horses with the comprehensive for competition horses.
