My two WB both have blanket clips and are rugged in light to medium rugs at night and rain sheets during the day. They are of a good weight (not fat) and in light work (1h schooling or a couple of hours hack every day).
Due to the warm weather recently they are getting rather sweaty at work and a bit warm in their rugs early in the evenings (although they are fine in the morning).
What should I do?
- top up their clips to a full clip
- keep as is and hope for colder weather
Views with reasoning welcome!

I've given my PRE 3 full clips this year and looks like he will need a 4th by mid Jan. Has been a strange year and I would rather keep him comfortable when he is working as he has a hot temperament.

It has been a strange year weather wise!

I clipped fairly early as the horses were sweating a lot, this meant they needed doing again mid November. I thought they would need doing again before Christmas but their coats must have been in because all are still short.

All are to hot is they have thick rugs on, over Christmas they were fine at nights with just their outside rugs on.

It is so mild that mucking out I am often in a short sleeved T shirt, I have hens and ducks that are going broody!

Rather than take the back off your horses, how long is the rest of their coat? Why not just reclip?

The rest of the clip is still in good nick... But their backs and legs are very long.
I'll probably fret for another few days, then clip and the curse myself when it starts to snow!
Lol
