i am looking after two horses that are not in work, they have lost all there topline. I know this is due to them stopping work but would you reccomend anything for them they are on allen and page calm and conditioner, alfa, horse and pony nuts a sugar beat, any tips.

In hand walking? Old fashioned whisping was recommended for our girl who lost her top line from rest and lameness.

Work them? If they're not in work I coubt you can expect them to retain much.

i know you wont get the topline you would if riding i just wanted to know if there was any better feeds out there that may put that extra bit of condition on

Sadly when not in work topline feeds & build up feeds just make the bellies bigger!

However you could add ready to feed linseed to make them shiney?

Mine have been off for a few weeks and now the muscle has gone and been replaced with huge grass bellies...

Blue Chip is great for helping to build top line - but I do agree with everyone else that 'work' is the only way to really achieve this
