Currently trying to decide which balancer will be best for my boy as he's now turning his nose up at powdered supplements! He's a good doer but requires high levels of anti-oxidants (vets recommendation) which seem to only be available in more calorie dense feeds.
I know anti-lam has the same levels of antioxidants as the Topspec comprehensive balancer so Im drawn towards this, but does anyone know what the levels are like in the Topspec lite? SpottedCat very kindly sent me a link to a breakdown of balancer nutrition yesterday but the Topsec lite wasnt listed on it

And Topspec are sending me info but Im a bit impatient!

Thanks

I spoke to Top Spec about this a little while ago. I didn't ask for a full breakdown (can you let me know if it shows anything interesting?) but they did say that AntiLam has a higher level of micronutrients &, I think, anti-oxidents.

I decided to use Lite for my fatty 5yo welsh cob who has good feet but AntiLam (Comprehensive in winter) for my ID who doesn't. Truth told I'm too much of a coward to alter the ID's feed, it's taken me years to find something that suits him & I've never known his feet hold together this well.

I imagine Anti-Lam would be more suitable from the antioxidants point of view, as laminitics require antioxidants to clear the toxins from the system after an attack... therefore it would make sense for there to be more in the Anti-Lam supplement. Best thing you can do though is ring TopSpec and ask - apparently they are very helpful!
