Would appreciate some advice! I put my horses on topspec balancer at beginning of year, and they completely bloomed, v impressed! My horses are in medium work, exercised everyday and competed every other weekend (just local or grassroots BE). My question is, does the cool balancer work as well as the normal one? Don't want to lose how fab they look, but if I could save a few pennies then would like to be!! Also one of ones on it is abit fizzy neway so wouldn't do her any harm!
Thanks in advance :)

mines on the cool balancer and im really impressed he looked superb after just a week on it, you could phone their feed help line

Thanks for all replies! Yes I might ring help line, although as I already pay for original, I don't imagine they would advise me to buy cheaper product?! Think I will give it a try tho, thanks :)

Just a heads up, the Cool Balancer is cheaper but it's comes in 15kg bags not the 20kg that the Comprehensive is sold in so the price isn't much different!

Mine has been on Top Spec feeds for years, with the occasional diversion into something else, but I have always gone back.

I tried the Lite Balancer, but didn't think he did as well on it as the original. I spoke to a rep who advised giving half the Original Comprehensive instead of the Lite, and he his much better with that.

I have used the comprehensive balancer for both of my two and love it. I have at times contemplated changing to the leisure or the cool version due to the price difference but as you can give the comprehensive balancer in half rations to keep a healthy horse ticking along (and it comes in a larger bag!) then it actually works out cheaper than the others (I tend to use half rations over the summer and full rations over winter). The comprehensive one also has a few extra ingredients to help with feet and other things.

Interesting that. My two horses' feet have definitely deteriorated since swapping from the Comprehensive to the Lite. Nothing else has changed. I'm trying the Forageplus at the moment but no doubt I'll be going back to the Comprehensive.

I feel ripped off now - I've just chnaged to the cool as wanted to keep my girl as calm as possible. Considering changing back because I wasn't sure if the cool has a joint supp where as I know the original has (as well as foot supp & probiotic). Will check my bag when I get back but will definately change back to the original if I find the cool is a 15 kg bag.

Didn't realise difference in bag size! Or that you can feed half rations with good results once they are in good condition. Thanks v much for all replies!

I rang topspec today asking for feed advice as my mare is a bit sluggish on the cool balancer, she is ridden 5 times a week and competed or endurance ride every weekend, they recommended the comprehensive balancer for a bit more energy!

I wouldn't mind paying balancers prices if I knew what they are " balancing" or knew they were balanced to my grazing. So instead I use equimins advance complete and honestly it puts all balancers to shame with the levels in the product. Balancers really do have v low levels the only difference is u get more protein from a balancer but in my mind over expensive and not worth the money
