As a family we've had a long run of some really nice horses - BS/BE/Hunting superstars, just all round good boys! All of which we've bought reasonably cheaply as babies.

I think I got into thinking I could ride and sort of knew what I/we were on about.. apparently not!!

This summer has just been rubbish - we bought and sent back 2 horses who we thought would be suitable for mum but had fairly big issues (that I don't have the time/patience/skill to sort).

To boot my dads TB who is normally a good boy had turned into a crazy pony, he's had me off 3 times in 2 SJ outings!

Stupid ponies!

Ah, sell up. Go on holiday somewhere hot, it's what anybody sensible would do.

Not us horsey folk though!

Dont sell up, go on holiday with horse, its what stupid people would do but it would be fun lol never know few long days of hacking could be good.

Yeah, sorry things not going smoothly SB. Just a little blip in the road though. Maybe take a bit of time out and have your ma go for lessons or borrow other horses, to take the pressure off looking. Or go for a loan horse for a little while.

Not sure what your range/spec is but maybe an older horse, from a private seller, might be a better way? Hens teeth to find the good ones I know. I do think personal recomms are likely to be better but that is gonna be hit and miss and take some time of course.

HHO might get you something, both me and Nikicb seem to have found ours directly or indirectly from here. Week 4 for me and she's been an absolute poppet. Bit of a diva compared to my other very low maintenance pony but I forgive her cos she's so preddy :p

BTW whereabouts are you?? Random thought as I love love love my other boy, who is as bombproof as they come, and I'll never part with him but am in need of a rider !
