We had our friends over to visit from the UK last week along with their 7 month old daughter.....now I will happily admit not a huge fan of babies (I much prefer the four legged kind) but Anna was a total peach. She has never had anything to do with dogs, horses before and spent the entire weekend in a state of total excitment over ours.

Took her over to see vardi on Saturday and it was soooo sweet she was bouncing up and down in her pushchair when she saw him so we decided to introduce them close up.....Vardi went straight up to her and blew at her she then promptly stuck her little fist up his nostral.

Just to overload the cute factor here is little Anna getting to know my bonehead of a dog Max.

yup im with u on the no children rule, but if I can give them back when they start crying pooping or being sick etc then they are alright. And she looks like a right sweety!
very amenable animals as well!

She was seriously cute and didn't cry at all but then she is the progeny of too very laid back parents so I think that has a lot to do with it.

Nope its not a scar its bald skin......vardi cast himself 3 months ago his eye origionally looked like this;

Hi Slinky,

Not been about for a while went on holiday to see mum in Cyprus been there one day when we discovered that in all honesty Mum could not stay there on her own anymore so ended up staying there a month, organising her dog to come back to the UK to stay with my brother, then flying Mum back to the UK.....all been a little stressful to say the least! As my brother said only time he has come away for a 2 week holiday, ended up staying 4 weeks and come away with half a house and a dog!

Anyhows.....Vardi is brilliant, his foot has healed up totally and he is now sound, still has a bit of a fat fetlock but that is down to needing to walk more.

We have started to walk him in hand now for miles.....have decided that we will do minimum of school work and just hand walk him then ride him out to fitten him up. He has put on lots of weight (due to spending 2 months up to this belly in grass just eating).....Only place he still looks sore is on the eye and his hip.

He has become a real Brat! due to having god knows how many people making a fuss of him for 3 months and just being allowed to rest.......however Astrid has reported that his manners have improved this week as she has come down hard on him

He is apprantly giving her "I hate you" looks!

Plan is to work him to fitness then move him (and I am not telling him this!) late November.

Fingers crossed!

OUCHY!!!!!!! that eye looks a tad sore!!! poor lad, but glad he is getting better!
and tell him casting himself in the stable is not hte best idea in the world!

So glad to see him looking perky again, good to hear he is doing so well now as i followed your posts when he did it.

I'm with you on the babies! I did think i had a turn around at my 'neice' (not married but she practically is

) as i just fell for her the moment she was born and looked up at me with gorgeous big eyes. But ive met other babies since then and thought 'yuk' so i guess i'm safe! Phew lol

So cute about her sticking her fist up his nose! What was his reaction? He looks like he was really good with her.
