The zip on my MH SHR riding boots broke today

Snapped clean off the wee handle bit! I have only had them since March - and they were only worn every other day - in fact not even that!!! I am fuming as for £145 I expected a bit more! It's not even like there was strain on them as they are elasticated and loose now

BOOOO So Now I have to Clean them and take them to get fixed and ride in my cat boots as thats all I have!! I think I might sulk

I would contact MH and say goods not fit for purpose (Sale of Goods Act) and that you want them replacing!

I agree, get in contact with MH.

Has the handle bit just broke off? If so, get one of those key ring things, they make great pulls. Does that make ANY sense?

I think I will, only BIG issue is that I don't have any of the paperwork from when I bought them as it was from my old work and I stupidly deleted them

So will have to trawl through Credit card statements.

I am really upset as I do not think they have had hard wear! The sole is hardly worn!

I am not sure a key ring will go through it but I will have a closer look tonight. BUT the other issue is that they are now too large for me and I had been planning to ebay them (cheap of course) but if they are broken they are worthless! I also really want another pair but I am not sure now. My sis has the MH HR and they have withstood her doing DAILY work with horses wearing them continuously for about 8 months.

Should I take this as a sign for new boots? If so - any suggestions???

Hi,

I purchased a pair of the High Rider sportive II back in March/April, and unfortunately the zip has broken - well the part that you use to pull the boots up. I must say that I am rather disappointed as I only wear them 3/4 times a week and so I did not expect them to break this early on.
I would like to know what can be done as I do not feel that for £140 odd GBP they should have lasted less than 1 year.

i would write and sent them back.....under a year is a fairly reasonable length of time for something to last....

Ive just sent mine back fortunately I kept receipts as I had heard there is a problem with zips.I bought mine from rideaway a year ago and they picked them up in two days .Thought that was really good service.
