OH and I thought we would pop along to watch a local xc that we had planned on going to before Murphy went lame. Got there just in time to see the scurry. I always watch this and think 'they must be mad'. I couldn't think of anything worse than being at the back of three horses galloping flat out into fences and probably having less than no brakes

. But hats off to them thay all got round clear and looked like they enjoyed it.

I also couldn't think of anything worse than doing all the above in draw reains. Yes I did just say draw reins.
Don't get me wrong I'm not from the never use them school and I do think they have a place in the right hands but not on a cross country field with no normal reins attached to the bit. To say I was shocked was an understatement and not one of the organisers pulled this person up. I was horrified. Needless to say I won't be going to that particular xc anytime in the future to watch or compete. I was horrified, poor poor horse.

I am absolutely sure on what I was seeing. I was so shocked that I did actually go and have a closer look. OH was trying to drag me away but I walk right past and it was definatly draw reins with no other reins attached.
