Totilas moves to Germany

Such a shame. I just hope he settles into his new home easily, but half of me hopes he chucks his new rider off!

I think it is refreshing that the horse is to be given a break as PS says he has achieved so much for a young horse. Sounds to me that Totilas is in good hands!!

Edward Gal is a professional rider, he is making a lot of money from his new found fame, so I don't feel sorry for him at all. He will no doubt receive some sort of commission from the sale too. He had a great opportunity and as a result he will no doubt be offered loads of other promising horses.

As for Totilas, no doubt he will be making babies for a while, so he will be a very happy bunny. Paul S is a business man through and through, he will want to exploit the horses stud potential while he is still so well known.

As much as I've gone off his movement after reading this http://www.klubequus.org/totilas/ then watching some of the vids myself I would love for him to come back for the Olympics. Still a good 2 years away so even if he had a break he could be back. They haven't said he'd never compete.

Given the international nature of sport horse breeding, it seems a little chauvinist to say he's securing him "for German breeding".

He'll have plenty of mares next year so in 2012 there will be ample oppertunity to buy a Totilas baby.
