Hi all,
It's been a long time since I have been on here! was about 2 1/2 years ago when I was eventing my old mare Lucy. Since then I've gone full circle, I had to give up horses for a while when I first bought a house. Then I bought myself a little 2 year old connie last July then in February bought myself a lovely Hannovarian mare as a project who is now here to stay! AND today I have just collected another trailer so we can get out & about again. So my main point of this thread is:

Give me some good recommendations for tow cars....

I previously towed with a defender which I adored but now due to the rise in price I cannot afford :( looking for something upto 3.5k mark so around 2003-2006 cars most likely.

& just for a bit of fun

Do you want to tow both horses?

Volvo xc90, Nissan Patrol, Mitsubishi Pajero, BMW X5 you have a massive amount of choice in those years.

You might find the budget might not stretch to low mileage vehicles... I have been doing a search lately too and anything below 60kmiles is more like £7-8k.

Have you got an everyday car?

If so (though check insurance and tax) a big old thirsty petrol Jeep or Landcruiser, peanuts to buy and will tow without effort.

CHECK OUT THE Members vehicle & trailer combinations IN THE LINK BELOW IN MY SIGNATURE

I assume you have B+E on licence from what you were towing with previously

You could get a 07 Mitsubishi Outlander base model, for that price! I have a top model 09 and I have a friend with a warrior I have a cheval trailer and friend has a bockman and these tow like a dream I have a very portly lippi 590kg and friend has two 16.2hh Hanoverians we have hills that go up 1200ft on sharp inclines and these bad boys just head on up with no issues!!! 😄
