Got my towing test tomorrow, and I'm terrified I'll fail! It's way to expensive to not pass, and my driving instructor currently has a 100% pass rate and I don't want to mess that up! (They have only been doing tow lessons for a short while, so that may only be a handful of people, but still..!)

I can do all of the things most of the time, but still sometimes mess up the reverse, the hitching (damn line never seems to be in the same place!), drive too slow sometimes and not great at spotting speed signs! ARGHHHHH! And 8:45am on an industrial estate the day after bank holiday is going to be a great place for a test drive, NOT!

HELPHELPHELPHELPHELPHELP!!

You'll be fine and I know it's hard, but try not to think about the money cos i'll only make you more anxious!

I did mine in March and every lesson I had with my instructor I had done something that would have failed me my test. But I passed with only 2 minors!!!!

Just stay calm and focused.

It may not be a bad thing that your test is during rush hour, as it means you will actually travel less miles during the test time therefore less distance to make a mistake!!
You can pull forward once during your reversing and you can take as long as you like so just go really slow and you will have more time to realise if the trailer is going offcourse.

Good Luck!!!

PS Remember to have a look and practise your safety questions before the test

Thanks. I know I can do it, it's just a matter of staying calm and thinking everything through!

Good to hear about your experience, my lessons have been a bit like that, my instructor always finds loads of things I should have done better, but I suppose thats the best way to make sure you get up to standard quickly! I'm hoping my instructor is actually harsher than the examiners though!
