Towing agricultural machinery with car.... tow hitch issues!

My arena needs levelled and the tractor is very poorly... my Land Rover is perfectly capable of towing the roller but the tow ball isn't compatible with the draw bar. Is it possible to buy an off-the-shelf convertor or will I have to get one made? Or just resort to a lot of baler twine??

You can buy the type that uses a pin to go on your car instead of the ball if that’s the one you mean. It’s straightforward to swap them over. I used to have one for my bowser. I had a separate one but it seems you can now buy them combined.

No you can change your tow ball to one with a ball, and a pin (assume leveller has eye piece/ring)
I had to change mine to tow a plant trailer, and haven't changed it back, it's just handy to have

you can buy off the shelf. We got one from Mole valley farmers. Try similar places or look up towing/trailer centres in your area. We change back and forwards all the time from a ball to a ring hitch only takes a minute or so. We changed last week for example on the small tractor so it could tow a roller (ring hitch ) one minute to a trailer with a ball hitch the next.

As said above, this is what you need. We have one on the old SORN'd 4x4. Do check before you buy that the one you choose is approved to tow a full 3.5 ton, some variants have a lower tow limit.
