There's a towing clinic in competing forum at the top. Best ask the resident expert... :) or infant have a read through, you are bound to find similar questions relating to your set up.

Post numbers 999 and 1000 of the TOWING CLINIC - link below - should give you all you need to know

The rules for B (car) licence towing where the plated MAM of the trailer is over 750 kgs are simple

Find GVW of vehicle - that is usually on a plate under the bonnet or hidden in a door frame
Find plated MAM of trailer - that is usually on a silver plate on the A frame behind the towing hitch

Add those two together and if they are more than 3500 then the drive cannot tow on a B licence

The actual weight of the empty trailer plus its load should not exceed any listed towing capacity

GVW and MAM mean the same thing - what it can legally be when fully loaded

I suspect that the GVW of your vehicle is well over 2500 !!

It is perfectly doable with one horse but it does need a vehicle with a GVW around 2200 max and a trailer (possibly down plated) to 1300 with an empty weight of less than 800 for a 500 kg horse
