I currently drive a Saab 9-3, but, as you all know, Saab went bust and parts are EXTREMELY expensive now, it's done 173,000 miles and is currently falling apart. I tow a Rice Europa with one horse in it at any time, or up to 18 small bales of hay, the car is really at it's towing limit with any of that, I believe it's either 1.6 tonnes or 1.8 tonnes max. If I was to tow my two competing horses together, their combined weight is 950Kg, so it's almost 2 tonnes to pull there.
We're now looking for something that isn't going to break the bank and is reliable as it would also be my 'run around' as well as a towing vehicle. I can afford a more expensive car to run than the Saab, so that isn't much of an issue (I'll just have to buy less clothes and go out less... or work more...)
What cars would you recommend?
