I know it's a long shot, but does anyone on here tow a trailer with a Mazda Bongo 4x4?
As my dear OH has one which he uses as his surf bus, we're thinking about sticking a towbar on it and using it to pull one horse in a 510.

According to this http://www.imperialcar.co.uk/bongo_facts the tow weight is 1600kg and so i think you wouldn't be able to as the maximum weight of the 510 is 2700kg and as far as I remember it is this and not the weight of horse+trailer that you need to consider :(

If you only ever take one horse and his weight+trailer weight is less than 1600kg then you can get the trailer weight downgraded to 16ookgs then it would work :D

Ah cool. so with a lightweight single horse trailer it would work... I love our Bongo! it will also provide a cosy place to get changed and make a cup of tea and some bacon sarnies!

Yep...a single ifor is exactly 1600 :D

Sounds like a fab plan, you could go for overnight stays and everything and I'd guess the Bongo is comfier than most lorry lutons :D
