towing with hyundai ix35? experience any one?

looking into possibility of towing with the above, its 2WD and can tow 1800kg braked trailer.
I think I am ok weight wise with my 510 and 15.2 light weight horse 500kgish
but what is it like to tow with? there are a couple of steep hills on and around the yard so needs power to get up
my disco gets up them fine but need to get rid as spending a fortune on repairs each month!!

If got B+E licence then ok but if only got B please state

I have a B+E its ok on paper but looking to see if any one has actually towed with one and how it copes...
