Its the weight of the tow vehicle also....unless you want to be overtaken by your box going downhill.......

I once saw somebody towing a trailer with a VW Golf......god knows how the above didn't happen!!

i once followed a 2l vauxhall zafira towing 2 small horses in a trailer into a show ground , it got on to a slight incline on the grass & could go no further , they had to unlaod both horses for it to proceed across the grass

they did all this without batting an eye lid as though it was not the first time it had happened

We've towed 3 trailers (separately

) with a Ford Mondeo.

They were of course empty!!!!
