What`s the lowest engine size you would tow a ifor williams 505 trailer with a 14.2 in it.

It's not just the engine size you need to consider - every car has a legal maximum towing weight, which you need to adhere to. You need to know this and the weight of trailer and horse together (probably about 13-1400kg in your case) and then you can judge. A diesel vehicle of about 1800cc might do it but you really have to check the facts to be able to tow legally and safely.
