Towing

I have my B+E license - does anyone know if this mean I can drive a 3.5tonne horsebox and tow a trailer behind?
YES YOU CAN :)

What is the listed towing capacity of the van OR if that is not listed - what is the GTW ??

A 750 kgs MAM trailer can be towed by a B (no B+E) licence holder

Thank you! Havent got one yet - I am exploring possibilities of transporting my horse and having a living area to sit in during the long days at the events, but I can't drive over 3.5t without doing another expensive test!

EH!!!

You said you have B+E in your first post

B+E means you can drive any vehicle not more than 3500 kgs GVW along with any trailer providing the vehicle specifications allow for it and any trailer over 750 kgs MAM is correctly braked

Has anyone had/heard anything about the Bloomfield Leisure Vehicle 3.5t horsebox?
It seems they may be based on the Vauxhall Movano van in which case the GTW is likely to be around 5800 kgs

If the Movano is fully laden at 3500 then it can tow an actual weight of 2300 kgs

These figures are not definitives and you would need to check the GTW (not GVW because we know that is 3500) before considering a purchase

I'm planning on getting a 3.5t and a caravan- I have taken my B+E, and just sold my 6.6t because I couldn't drive it, and still want some occasional living for stay always. Husband is just excited to have a proper bathroom and bedroom in a caravan when away for days on end rather than a non-luxury Luton bed and horsebox living!!

Bloomfields convert a range of 3.5t "vans" so it really does depend which you choose as to which you get - if that makes sense......
