Hello all could my 2012 legacy diesel pull a single horse box safely, the car has a capacity of 1700lbs around 1.4t the box I'm guess is about 900? And then the pony.? Tack can go in car. Does anyone tow with a subaru?

What make/model of trailer do you have, and do you know the weighbridge weight of your pony? Failing that, what height/breed/build is the pony?

You should be fine. Mine has a limit of 2000kgs and tows a triple trailer, 500kg pony and carriage with no issues. A single trailer is about 900kgs plus a 500kgs horse gives you 1400kgs. Easily within capacity.
