Has anyone any experience of keeping a horse who has a permanent tracheotomy? My boy is coming home with one next week and I'd love some advice/tips on how to deal with one. Like, will he be ok out in the field? He will be in his own paddock but I'm concerned about flies etc.
Thanks in advance
p.s. should point out he has had temporary tracheotomy tubes in for the past 4 weeks while at the vets, so he's quite used to having one there now
