Hi there

On Saturday I went to a horse auction and saw a lot of very sad looking horses and ponies. There was one in particular that I fell in love with and was going to bid if it looked like she was going for meat. In the end she went for around £200 (which was above the start price) and I was satisfied that she wasn't going for slaughter, but I keep thinking about her. My question is as to whether there is any way of tracing her or if all that is protected by data protection. If I managed to find her new owner, I would like to offer to buy her or at least know that she went to a nice home

I would suggest you contact the auctioneers and ask them to pass on your telephone number (they will not give out the buyers) as you felt so sorry for the horse and would would like to offer to buy her or at least know she has a permanent home. Good luck and keep us posted!

Just rang up but lady asked if I could hold and then the line went dead (not sure if she hung up or not). Have sent an email so hopefully I'll set a response :)
